I thought I would spoil the dogs today when I stumbled upon these bones at the local butchery.     Nosh and Cody decided to swop so she ended up with the bone that is almost as big as she is. Cody had a firm grip on the situation while Zena went to hide with her bone while she devoured it. Of course Pinky had to be in on the action and made himself comfy in an ice cream box. Guess that is what you call fresh?? How he manages to squeeze himself into the smallest spaces is beyond me but sure makes for...

Well it is now officially less than a month to go. Most of the things have been arranged and sorted out although I am petrified that I have forgotten something. My diary is like one huge to do list and slowly but surely I am getting through it. Alot has to be left for the last few days (week) so I think that is going to be the most stressful time of all but in a strange way I am looking forward to it. The animals are doing so well. Cody is getting bigger by the day but he still looks like...

Well it sure has been a busy month or so. Willie was away this last week for work and I was home alone. Pinky, of course, decided then to start acting up. Last week he had a sore on his back and I started putting ointment on. He managed to lick some of it and ended up with a bit of a runny tummy, When Willie left on Monday Pinky was still fine. In the following day or two he refused to eat and practically slept all day. Very unlike him. I finally got him to eat a little but...

Wow, it sure has been a while.  Well since the tragic loss of Josephine we had to get a new cat as soon as possible.  The other cats definitely felt the void and it was just hard for us too. We decided that we weren't going to get a kitten this time but we'd rather go to the SPCA and adopt and older cat. Some of the main reasons were that it is always harder having a kitten, especially if you can't be there 24/7.  Also, as we've been to the SPCA many times it is always heartbreaking to...

I was very hesitant about writing this post.  I wasn't sure if I could however it would be wrong if I don't.  Regular readers would know how often I post about our animals and how much we love them.  They are not simply our pets, they are part of our family.  We have four cats:  Shadow, Spartan, Bratt and Josephine.  Even though we love all our cats Josephine always had a very special place in our hearts.  She was always there to greet us when we got home and always had so much love...

I've already mentioned that we have a new member of the family, Spartan.  All the other pets/kids are doing very well.   Zena has grown up so much.  It's unbelievable to think that she was once  the small little puppy.  She still sleeps on the bed tough, which is a concern considering her size now and where she is possibly going to end up.  She is a brilliant guard dog.  She "patrols" at night.  She will walk into our room and walk around the bed as if to make sure we are there and we are ok and the she...

Technorati Tags: Cats   After the loss of our little boy Basil it was becoming obvious that Brat was lonely.  Tamsyn managed to arrange for a new addition to the family.  His name is Spartan.  He was very scared of all the dogs at first but he has adjusted so well.  He now even rubs up against the dogs looking for love. I will update on the status of all the pets shortly.   World meet Spartan...
