This month has just flown by. Tomorrow is my last day at work, Christmas is less than a week away. We’re flying to JHB in less than a week. I can’t believe it.

The long weekend was a nice break though. We didn’t do much. On Saturday we went and did some shopping – or browsing rather – although we stayed away from the big malls. We got the Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse and a steal so we got us each some of those. We also decided to get new Christmas decorations as we’re not sure where everything is from last year. Last year we were moving over Christmas so it was chaotic. I think I know where it is but if it is there then I am not sure if it is still in good enough condition to use. Our tree was still fine though and I must admit it looks rather nice. We had to put it higher on a table this year as last year the cats climbed into the tree. This year they’re all bigger and heavier so we didn’t think that was such a good idea.

The weather here in Durban has been amazing the last few days. I hope it holds for the weekend too. I’m dying to get some sun on my very pale skin. Even though I’ve still been working this week it really feels like holiday time already. Luckily it’s just one more day to go till I can really be on holiday.

Today is my nephew, Liam’s 3rd birthday. I spoke to him this morning. He is just the cutest thing. When I spoke to him he had just woken up and hadn’t opened his presents yet. When I asked him if he got lots of presents he said “Yes lots” and when I asked him what he got he said “ I dunno, Bye” So when my brother came on the line he said he’s gone to open a present to see what he got. He is so cute right now cause you can have a conversation with him and he is very clever. I can’t wait to see him. So Happy Birthday Liam. Hope you have an amazing day and year ahead.

I also got the new SimCity Society Game. I’ve only been able to play once but it’s quite fun. It’s interesting. I’ll try to get more play time in tonight. Willie also bought me a deep fryer yesterday. I am so excited. Crumbed mushrooms and chips here we come.

The Xbox hasn’t been very kind to me. If you read the blog he’s very angry with me for not playing with him more often. It’s actually quite funny.

I’m hoping to stay a bit more up to date now that it’s a bit more relaxed.

Yip, it’s 4am and I am still awake. Probably will be when my alarm goes off to go to work. What is wrong with me?

I feel sick to my stomach and restless. I’m hot and shaky. urgh!! I can’t remember what this feeling is but I’m pretty sure I’ve felt it before.

So here is an interesting question. If you could tell the future would you want to know?? Or if someone could tell you your future would you want to know?? I’m still undecided. If there were good things I wouldn’t want to know. Let me be happy as they happen and savour the moment instead of spoiling it. Bad things though?? I’d rather know. I’d rather want to prepare myself and deal with it as soon as possible. I don’t see why bad things have to be drawn out. For crying out loud…..if you wanna kill me do it quickly. If you wanna hurt me do it and get it over and done with. Don’t draw it out. Don’t waste precious time. Don’t make fools out of us.

I was told today that I spend too much time watching tv. Now I don’t sit in front of the tv all night watching. We are lucky enough to have PVR so I can record any (every) show that we like. Granted, we have many shows to still watch but more often that not we spend a night just catching up on some shows. I don’t think I watch too much tv. Sometimes it feels like I barely have enough time to watch one show. Tonight though……feels like all I did was watch tv. Not much else to do at 4am….

I miss my mom. So much that I am even scared to think about it. I so badly want to talk to her. To tell her how I am feeling and what is going on and hear her voice tell me that it is all going to be ok. She always listened to me. To her I mattered. When she said I was going to be ok I believed her. Am I going to be ok???

Ok that is way too much talking …..I’m off to watch another show. No point in sleeping now.

Wow…..we’re well into December and I haven’t posted in forever.
I was boasting in an earlier post about the new photo’s I’ll be adding to the gallery soon. Unfortunately I will have to take them all again. My computer crashed shortly after that statement. I lost all my pictures etc as I was lazy and slack with my backups. I’ll add those as soon as I have taken them again.
Last weekend Willie and I took a drive down the south coast. Our first stop was Croc World near Scottburgh. I haven’t been there in about 15 years. It was so nice. The crocodiles are huge and there are so many of them. We missed the feeding by about 10 minutes but when we got to the big cage all the crocodiles where still by the gate. I must admit though that I was very nervous walking past them. They are so big that I was convinced they could get through the fences. It didn’t help matters when we walked past one crocodile and when I made fun of his eyes (and made some sudden movements he didn’t like) he lurched towards us. I got such a fright. We then walked to far cage. I was reading the map and when I looked up there was this HUGE crocodile and he suddenly moved his tail. I was finished after that. I thought I was going to pee in my pants die.
We also saw beautiful birds. The most beautiful colours I have ever seen. The highlight of course was the Fish Eagle. She is so big and beautiful. I was taking photos of her and she was almost posing. She put her head one way for a photo then she turned the other way. After a few shots she returned to cleaning herself though. What a beauty!
We also saw these cute little monkey thingies. The two younger ones were playing and running around. Trying to push each other off the feeder and the branches. They are so tiny and have the cutest little faces. Going through the snakes was amazing. I love looking at snakes when they’re behind glass and can’t get to me. We saw so many different ones, very small to very big. I will be adding all the photo’s to the gallery later today.
After that we went off to Scottburgh Wimpy for lunch. It was very hot and the beach was rather busy. With the school holidays that just started I am guessing it will get a whole lot busier. So after a yummy lunch we drove down to Shelley Beach. We went through Hibberdene and Port Shepstone. It was quite fun seeing everything again. Things have changed quite a bit since I moved away but it still looks like my old home. I must admit it was quite nice living on the south coast. Much better than the north coast. So we went to Shelley Centre and I was a little disappointed. They’ve added a new section but you can hardly tell. On the way to Shelley Centre we passed a sign indicating a new mall. We then decided to go there. It is called Southway Mall and it is actually very nice. We ended up having supper at RJ’s there. What a nice restaurant. Very nice atmosphere and the staff were helpful, friendly and just all round excellent. Well done guys!!
We then started heading home, tired but happy. It was a really nice day. Thanx babe!
